The FMCBC grant fund is used to fund projects for member clubs. This year was a lean one and while it was not possible to fund all the grant applications, FMCBC is proud to have granted funds for the following projects:
Kamloops Outdoor Club – To improve the signage on the Mt Morrisey backcountry ski trails
Fraser Headwaters Alliance – To contribute to the purchase and installation of two toilets on the
Goat River Trail
Ozalenka Alpine Club – To assist with the purchase of solar lighting for the Cabin at Eagle Valley
Vancouver Climbers Association – To contribute to the cost of hardware needed for the creation
of new sport climbing routes
UBC Varsity Outdoor Club – For new door handles on the Brew and Harrison Huts
Best wishes to all the applicants. We appreciate your hard work and dedication on these projects, which also benefit the outdoor community at large.
Want to know more about our Member Club Grants? In 2012, the FMCBC began a grant program to support projects
initiated by our member clubs. Unless specified otherwise, all donations to the FMCBC go directly into this fund, providing a great way for organizations and individuals to give back to our trails and the outdoor recreation community. FMCBC grant funds have been used to upgrade trails, install bridges, improve huts, purchase tools and run community events. Email fmcbc@mountainclubs.org for more info!
